QSL's History
Ivan Gribskov founded Quick Service Litho as a single person operation
in an office basement at 11th and Pearl Streets in 1950. It was
his and Bettie Gribskov's hard work and vision that put QSL on a
solid foundation.
Quick Service Litho remained in that neighborhood for the next
thirty five years, moving to several locations within a block of
11th and Pearl. The shop continually expanded in size and service
until it's client list included most of the major businesses and
institutions in the Eugene/Springfield area. The name Quick Service
Litho had become a recognized business leader.
By 1985, the business climate had changed in Eugene with a recession
and Quick Service Litho saw the challenge as an opportunity to take
a new direction. The changes were many. Pete Gribskov assumed leadership
as General Manager and Quick Service Litho's name was changed to
simply QSL Printing Company, reflecting an emphasis on new standards
of quality and service.
To achieve this, QSL bought the first four color commercial printing
press in Lane County. To accommodate the expansion of the new press,
QSL renovated a historic warehouse building at 4th and Lincoln Streets
and moved to it's current location in January of 1986.
Doug Koke purchased QSL in 2007. Formerly of Koke Printing, Doug is committed to supporting the family owned culture of QSL as well as sustaining it as a viable and active member of the Eugene community.
Together with his team-many who have been with QSL for more than 20 years-Koke will continue QSL's unwavering commitment to high quality customer service and exceptional printing.
